Relevant Issues in the Current Homeland Threat Environment

The Wisconsin Statewide Intelligence Center (WSIC) will provide a 1-hour Threat Brief describing relevant issues in the current homeland threat environment. Topics will include the role of fusion centers in the greater US Intelligence Community, key trends in the current national and state threat environments, and how Public Safety, Emergency Management, and Homeland Security stakeholders can submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).

The presentation will cover the following:

  • Intelligence Overview
  • International Threat Environment
  • Domestic Threat Environment
  • Suspicious Activity Reporting Overview

As a bonus during the January meeting-

At the end of the meeting the Secret Service and SE Region Director of Wisconsin Emergency Management, who are both members of the Public Private Partnership planning committee for the Republican National Convention, will join the meeting for a brief conversation about the upcoming RNC and provide an opportunity for anyone who has any questions or concerns about how that event may impact their businesses or organizations to bring/share those questions and concerns.

Bio for John Connor Tampoya

John Connor Tampoya is a Senior Intelligence Analyst with the Wisconsin Statewide Intelligence Center’s Threat Analysis Unit (WSIC TAU). Analyst Tampoya manages fusion center programs regarding threats to public safety and critical infrastructure in the State of Wisconsin, including Suspicious Activity Reporting (SARs), written intelligence analysis production, collaboration with federal homeland security partners, and state and local outreach through WSIC’s Threat/Fusion Liaison Officer network. 

John Connor is originally from Morgantown, West Virginia. He graduated from Northeastern University’s Master of Arts program in Strategic Intelligence and Analysis with a concentration in Intelligence Community Operations and Analysis in 2022 and received his Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University in 2018.
